The people
We employ a varied group of people with wide experience to supervise the exams during our peak examination seasons. The Invigilator is the person responsible for running each exam centre and is required to meet organisations' strict security and quality control procedures. Invigilators are helped by a number of other trained supervisors. We abide and follow as closely as practicable the invigilation hand books provided by all TAFEs, Universities, and Colleges etc.
Everyone working with Adelaide Invigilation is bound by strict security arrangements and confidentiality agreements. Anyone with a family member or close family friend studying with any of the TAFEs, Universities and Colleges etc, must declare their connection. Many of our staff return year after year - their bed time readings are Invigilation hand books
System checks
Each exam is checked when it arrives with Adelaide Invigilation from the exam provider:
• the correct exam
• the names of the exam candidates match the name provided by the exam provider against the exam's
• that reading times, writing times area correct and enough time has been allocated in the exam room
• the exam is checked before the candidate leaves the room to ensure all identifiers are correctly filled in, and that all exam material is return
• before the completed exams are dispatched it is again checked against the name of the person completing the exam.
Special Needs
For people with a medical or physical condition such as a disability or injury that find it hard to sit exams arrangements can be made with their study faculty to have reasonable conditions added to the information provided to us. This might mean extra time, physical breaks for rest or exercise added to the exam time or even equipment such as use of a computer. We try to meet all the needs of exam candidates where possible.
